Improve your skills with an online grammar course
This page is currently under maintenance. If you wish to buy a course, email email@example.com or phone 0400 686 600.
I (Mary Morel) have developed these online grammar courses based on years of answering people’s grammar questions.
I believe grammar matters because you can write more confidently when you don’t have to worry about your grammar and punctuation. Many of the rules can be bent or ignored, but you need to understand them before you break them and use language to its fullest.
Grammar is not easy. I’d be kidding you if I said it was, but the more you know, the easier and more enjoyable it becomes. Read my blog on Why learn grammar.
There are two main schools on grammar: descriptive and prescriptive. Descriptive grammar describes the way people write and speak, and prescriptive grammar gives advice and rules on how to use the language.
I think of these courses as ‘practical grammar’. I tell you the traditional rules, but also debunk some myths and explain how language is changing.
What you receive when you register for an online grammar course
The online writing and grammar courses are interactive and you receive:
- Written information – many of the courses have accompanying e-books you can download for future reference
- Activities and quizzes
Some courses also have videos and podcasts.
You can choose to do some courses in either American or Australian spelling. (Australian spelling is similar to New Zealand and British spelling). You will receive the Australian spelling version by default, but email us and request the American spelling version.
You have access to your courses for one year.
