In this self-paced, online course, you’ll not only learn the difference between commonly confused words, but will also receive memory jogs for some words to help you remember the differences.

You’ll learn from reading text, watching videos and doing quizzes.

Your instructor

I have been working with words all my career as a freelance writer, editor and trainer.

During my career, I’ve taught thousands of people from a range of organisations, including large corporations, government departments, associations and not-for-profits.

This course is based on my practical experience writing and teaching. I’m always thinking about what works and why in business writing and have developed simple and practical techniques to help you improve your writing.

I believe people who teach writing need to write themselves. I blog regularly and have written three nonfiction books (Promote Your Business, Talk Up Your Business, Write to Govern.)

My qualifications include a BA in English and History, a Diploma of Social Work and a Diploma of Teaching. I am a lifelong student of writing and grammar.
